Meet The Author

Some people write fiction to escape the world.

L.A. Wright wrote a memoir to finally make sense of it.

She spent years learning things the hard way — about love, about loss, about the difference between surviving something and actually living through it. She made choices that cost her. She stayed in rooms she should have left sooner. She kept believing in people and outcomes that hadn’t arrived yet.

And then, slowly, they did.

The Quiet Is The Point is the book that came out of all of it — not a story about being broken, but about what happens when you refuse to be. About the kind of strength that doesn’t announce itself. About learning, late and hard, what you were actually made of.

She writes for the women who are still in the middle of their story and need to know the ending is worth surviving for.

She lives in Florida with her husband, their long-coat German Shepherd Luger, and Bella — a twenty-pound pocket beagle who has strong opinions about the couch.
